The McCabe Centre for Law & Cancer and University of Melbourne have strengthened an ongoing collaboration with Director, Jonathan Liberman, taking up an appointment as Associate Professor in Law and Global Health at both the Melbourne Law School and the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health.

Under the joint appointment, Jonathan will continue as Director of the McCabe Centre; pursuing new opportunities in research, teaching, and capacity building across the full spectrum of cancer and other non-communicable disease prevention, treatment, care and research.

Strengthening existing ties, the collaboration will bring the McCabe Centre and the University of Melbourne closer together in working towards harnessing the law as a powerful enabler of good health practices and good health outcomes, both in Australia and globally.

Jonathan’s appointment, which begins in July, reinforces the importance of the McCabe Centre’s work and reputation as a trusted partner in advancing law to protect and promote public health.
