20 years of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control

This treaty has changed millions of lives, helping to reduce tobacco use, protect communities, and prevent countless diseases.

The McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer is proud to be part of this ongoing fight for a healthier, tobacco-free world, and it’s such an honour to host the WHO FCTC Knowledge Hub on Legal Challenges.
The progress made over the last two decades is inspiring, but there is still work to do.

Together, we must continue advocating for stronger laws and policies, protecting future generations, and ensuring that everyone has the right to a healthier life.

See the Highlights from 20 years of tobacco control – 20 year anniversary of the entry into force of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, which includes Australia’s leadership with plain packaging and the McCabe Centre’s involvement here.
