In partnership with Cancer Council Victoria's Cancer Information and Support Service, the McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer hosted a webinar on advance care planning for people affected by cancer and their carers. Dr Deborah Lawson from the McCabe Centre presented information relating to:
- the importance of advance care planning;
- the ways in which the law facilitates advance care planning; and
- how to appoint an agent and record wishes to inform future health care and treatment.
The presentation was followed by a panel discussion facilitated by McCabe Centre's Sondra Davoren and featuring palliative care physician Dr Jennifer Weil, St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Clinical Nurse Specialist Clem Byard, 13 11 20, Cancer Information and Support line, Cancer Council Victoria
